Simple, crispy parmesan crusted Air Fryer Broccoli is a perfect way to enjoy your veggies. Ready in 15 minutes but gone in less than that! Kid friendly for sure.
Veggies are even better in the air fryer if you ask me! Crispy and tender, this Air Fryer Broccoli is going to become a new family favorite.
And that is great, because who would ever argue with the family getting some veggies into their diet?As a kid, we had parmesan on the table at every meal. Eating broccoli, green beans, heck, even peas with a sprinkle of it brings me right home.
The crispiness the parmesan adds to this air fried broccoli is our favorite.
15 minutes is all that you need for a simple, crispy veggie for tonight's dinner--can't bet that!
If you are new to the air fryer, this broccoli is just the tip of the ice berg. Potato Wedges, Coconut Shrimp, Burgers and more will be so good fresh from this amazing appliance!
What you need to make this recipe:
- I prefer grated parmesan in this air fryer broccoli because it coats the broccoli well to add to the crispiness. You can certainly use shredded, but it just won't attach to the broccoli quite as easily.
- Check your Italian seasoning--if it has garlic in it already, you may want to lighten up a touch on the fresh garlic. As for me, I would be lying if I didn't use 2 garlic cloves some days when making this.
How to make this:
- Not much to it! Toss all the ingredients together and make sure to coat the broccoli well. (steps 1-2)
- Spray the basket of your air fryer with oil to lightly coat.
- Add the broccoli to the basket and even it out as best as you can. You could do this in two batches if you have a super small air fryer. If some of the broccoli overlaps though it is okay because you will be shaking the basket up in the middle. (step 3)
- Set air fryer to 370°F and heat for 9-10 minutes tossing/shaking well halfway through. (step 4)
- Serve it up immediately!
Notes and Tips:
- Most air fryers will need to be pre-heated but some heat up almost instantly. Make sure you know what your machine's needs are.
- You can omit the parmesan and still have delicious air fryer broccoli. Or you can top it with another cheese when serving--whatever you love.
- Try to chop the broccoli florets into somewhat similar sized pieces. This will allow for more even cooking.
What to serve with this recipe:
This air fried broccoli is a great side dish for so many dinners in my opinion. We love it with this Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken or these Maple Bacon Pork Chops.
I also love to have a crispy side dish that includes veggies with our burgers and fries. Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers are our favorite.
Any piece of meat on the grill is a sure match as well!
