Ingredients

  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 3 c peaches, fresh or frozen sliced
  • c milk regular or dairy free
  • ½ c Greek yogurt vanilla, plain or even peach!
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or as needed
  • ¼ - ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder optional

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients into a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth, adding an extra splash of milk if needed to help blend.
  • Adjust the sweetness as desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.
  • This will make about 1 1/2 large servings or 3 smaller servings.

Notes

  • Use frozen bananas for best results. The key to a good smoothie is getting it cold and thick. Frozen bananas are key in making this the case. To freeze, cut your very ripe bananas into 2-3 inch chunks. Lay on a parchment lined cookie sheet and flash freeze for about one hour before transferring to a freezer safe container or bag. This keeps them from sticking together in big clumps.
  • This smoothie is best eaten fresh. While you can freeze leftovers, I find that the smoothie has the freshest flavor right when made. It is not recommended to refrigerate the smoothie either. Any leftovers should be frozen and then thawed before eating.
  • If your peaches and bananas are frozen, an extra splash of milk may help. If using frozen bananas and peaches, and the smoothie is having a hard time blending, add an extra splash of milk to help. You can also use a tamper if your blender comes with one.
