Green Detox Smoothie

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe avocado
  • 1 banana frozen
  • ¼ c raw brazil nuts
  • ¼ lemon I included the peel
  • ½ apple sliced (I usually use Fuji, Gala or Granny Smith)
  • 1-2 large handful baby spinach
  • 1-2 large handful kale stems removed
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1 T flax seeds
  • 1 - 1 ½ c water

Optional add ins

    Instructions

    • In a high powered blender, combine water, kale and spinach. Use just 1 cup to start and add more later. Blend until smooth.
    • Add all other ingredients and blend on high until smooth, add more water if necessary.
    • Enjoy immediately or refrigerate until ready to drink.

    Notes

    Add more greens if you like! The more the merrier!
    This smoothie will be 1-2 servings depending on whether it is as a meal or for a snack.
